25 Years of Helping and Supporting Ambulance Staff 1990-2015

AGM Chairman's Report DASBF (2015)

Since the last AGM held on the 16th June 2014 the Benevolent Fund has enjoyed a very successful year. 2015 marks the 25 th Anniversary of the fund and to recognise the occasion all members have received a 25th Anniversary pen and 25 lucky winners also received £25.

A number of charity events has provided the fund with additional funds including the SWASFT Talent Evening held on 28th August 2014, The Christmas Carol Service held on the 16th December 2014 and the Charity Cycle Ride/walk held on the 16th May 2015.

The fund has provided support to a number of staff who applied for hardship applications in the form of loans or grants over the year.

Membership has achieved the minimum target of 500 members by moving from 441 a year ago to 500 plus currently. The fund is going from strength to strength thanks to the dedication and commitment of the committee members and as always I'm really grateful for everyone's effort to-date. A big thank you from me and may the success continue.
